Buddha Yanamuni U Thong Suwannaphum
Buddha Yanamuni U Thong Suwannaphum completes Artmulet’s Maha Traiphakhi trilogy of classical Buddha images. It follows the Lanna Singha One and the Sukhothai Racha Naruemit Ming Mongkhon, celebrating another distinctive period in the history of Thai Buddhist art.
U Thong images are admired for a solemn, powerful presence that encourages emotional steadiness and recollection. Artmulet interprets this character through carefully considered proportions and sculptural detail, creating a devotional image that can serve as a focus for mindfulness.
The work was sculpted by Suchat Saejiw and cast by Asia Fine Art. It preserves a classical artistic vocabulary in a contemporary collectible intended to be passed down through the family.
