Uma and Ganesha with the Lion
Uma, the consort of Shiva and mother of Kartikeya and Ganesha, is honoured in Hindu tradition as a great mother and a source of loving power. Ganesha represents wisdom and the overcoming of obstacles, while Kartikeya is associated with victory.
This collection brings Uma, Ganesha and the lion together in a composition that balances tenderness with authority. It reflects the belief that compassion can guide strength and that a loving family can provide the foundation for courage and understanding.
Artmulet created the work with painter Kriangkamol Nakbangkaew and sculptor Kritsana Naphunphon. Its intricate details and flowing forms are intended to preserve the expressive richness of Thai sacred sculpture.
